Chicken Sitting Services

Do you need someone to look after your backyard chickens while you're away? Well you're in luck! My name is Brandi and I have 12 laying hens of my own that I have raised from chicks. I would love to help you take care of your feathered friends whenever you might need me! Whether you have a few backyard hens or a large flock, I can help make sure they are loved and cared for in your absence.

I am NOT a vet, a breeder/seller, pet rescue/sanctuary, nor a kennel BUT I AM your poultry support service that can come to your home and help you with your chicken sitting needs.

I currently service the North Eastern Corner of Connecticut and some North Western parts of Rhode Island.

I can provide the following services for your chickens:

Refill Waterers (will also scrub and clean if/when needed)
Refill Feed (provided by you)
Distribute Snacks/Scratch (provided by you and only if requested)
I ask that my clients provide all snacks and treats, regular feed, oyster shell, and grit that can be easily accessed.
Clean Coop ($ This service requires an additional fee depending on the size of the coop.)
Collect Eggs (I can put them somewhere safe that you request or I can take them with me and donate to my local elderly community)
Extra attention, love, and cuddles
Garden watering? Yes I would love to make sure your garden stays thriving while you are away! I offer this as a complimentary service when you book chicken sitting services. Please advise me at the time of booking and be sure to have easy access to a source of water.

Chicken sitting rates start at $25 per daily visit and vary depending on your location and the size of the flock. If you have other pets in addition to chickens, please contact me for a rate quote.

All travel 30 minutes or longer from my zip of 06277 will be charged a small travel fee to cover travel expenses. All bookings are subject to negotiation due to work load.

We understand that everyone does things differently when it comes to caring for their chickens and we respect that. We will work with you to make sure that we follow your instructions and care for your flock exactly how you would if you were doing it yourself.

Bear + Creek Homestead "Chicken Sitting Services" is not responsible for any breaches in your chicken coop facilities. I will inspect your yard and coop for any problems and assist where possible as a general rule of courtesy.

When booking I do ask that you sign our release form so that Bear + Creek Homestead is not held responsible for any unforeseen acts of God, weather, or predators.
